12Step.org has developed a password protected and encrypted Windows desktop software package
that is designed to make it easier to work the 12 step program.
This software is free for all to use and distribute as long as it remains free
of charge (except for reasonable distribution charges).
Note that the Recovery Journal has problems working on Windows Vista and Windows 7. We will be addressing this in the upcoming version, expected in May or June 2010
June 2007 - We are releasing version 0.8. It has several improvements over version 0.72.
Most notably, they are the following.
- More aesthetic icons
- Add lists to the Step Work menu.
- Step 1 - List of unmanagability
- Step 5 - List for inventory
- Step 8 - List for amends
- Can sort columns in the Journal Explorer
- Fixed numerous bugs
This still remains a work in progress, but it should be much more stable
and usable.
If you are upgrading from a previous version, please read the instructions
in the forums before you upgrade.
Otherwise, you risk overwriting your current data.
So far it has only had minimal testing with Windows XP Service
Pack2. It will probably still not work on Windows 2000 Professional,
but we will look into that as we have time and there is interest.
Please feel free to provide feedback in the
forums
if you have any problems or questions.
